First, a photo ID. A passport or a driving licence both work, as long as the image is clear and the document is still in date. Second, proof of address, typically a recent utility bill that shows your name and home address. Why three separate items? Each one verifies a different thing. The ID confirms who you are and that you are over 18. The address document ties you to a real location. One note on the deposit method. If you topped up with a Visa or Mastercard, the payment proof is a photo of that card with the middle digits hidden. If you deposited in crypto through CoinsPaid, a wallet screenshot showing the transaction does the job instead.

Proof of address requirements

This is where most players slip up, so read it twice. The document has to be recent. Betpanda wants something issued within the last three months, and a bill from last winter will not pass even if the address is correct.

What qualifies? A utility bill is the cleanest option: gas, electricity or water, with your name and full address printed on it. A bank or building society statement works too, as does a council tax letter or a similar official document from a recognised body. The key is that the name on it matches the name on your Betpanda account exactly, and the address is your current home.

What does not qualify: mobile phone bills are often rejected, and so is anything handwritten, anything addressed to someone else, or a document where the address is partly hidden. Online statements are fine, but they need to show the provider's logo, your details and the issue date in full, not a trimmed-down PDF with the header cut off.

A common fix. If your only recent bill is a paperless one, log into the provider's site and download the official statement PDF rather than screenshotting the dashboard. The downloaded version carries the date and branding the reviewers look for.

Living with family or renting a room? A bank statement in your own name sent to that address usually solves it. The address on the document simply has to be somewhere you genuinely live and can receive post.

ID document requirements

Your photo ID is the anchor of the whole check. Betpanda accepts a passport or a driving licence, and both carry the four details the team needs to see: your full name, date of birth, photo and an expiry date that has not passed.

For a passport, upload the main photo page, the one with your picture and the machine-readable strip at the bottom. Capture the entire page, edge to edge. For a driving licence, photograph the front, and have the back ready in case it is requested, since some checks want both sides.

The details on the ID must line up with the name and date of birth you entered at sign-up. A mismatch, even a middle name you skipped during registration, can hold up verification. If you spot a difference, contact live chat before uploading so they can note it, rather than letting the document fail the automated pass.

Three things sink an ID upload more than anything else:

• Glare. A flash bouncing off the laminate hides the photo or the number. Use natural light and angle the document away from the source.
• Expiry. An out-of-date passport or licence will be refused outright. Check the date before you send it.
• Cropping. If a corner or the document number is cut off, the reviewer cannot confirm it. Keep the full document inside the frame.

Get those right and the ID rarely causes a second request. Most players who upload a clean, in-date passport photo clear this part on the first try, and the rest of the check follows quickly behind it.

Source of funds (when it is requested)

Not everyone sees this one. Source of funds is an extra step Betpanda asks for only in specific situations, and for most accounts it never comes up at all.

So when does it appear? Usually after larger deposits or a run of high-value play, where the licensing rules require the casino to confirm the money is legitimate. It can also surface as a routine spot-check. If you are asked, it is a standard compliance step, not a sign anything is wrong with your account.

The documents that satisfy it are straightforward. A recent payslip, a bank statement showing your income, a tax return, or a receipt from a sale (a property or a vehicle, for example) all work. Whatever you send simply needs to show where the deposited funds came from, with your name on it.

Practical tip: keep the document recent and readable, same as the rest. A payslip from this quarter beats one from last year. Once the source-of-funds document is accepted, it is logged against your account and you are very unlikely to be asked again unless your deposit pattern changes sharply.
